We have collaborated with world-renowned teams, including architecture firm Olson Kundig, branding agency LAND and creative studio VVORKROOM to execute our vision of design-driven-transformative-spaces.
HISTORY
In 2014, William Ball, Connor Oman and Bron Hager transformed a discarded space of the McGarrah Jessee building’s ground floor, which was originally a valet waiting area and offices, into a cocktail bar aptly named “Garage”. The cocktail bar reveals a sense of unexpected discovery to its visitors. Comedor was opened in 2019 to bring new life to an adjacent, formerly vacant parking lot, marking the first ground-up restaurant-only project in Downtown Austin in decades. The vision for Comedor’s menu and environment was inspired by a trip that its developer, William Ball, took to Mexico City with his business partner, Connor Oman in 2017. Ball partnered with acclaimed chef Philip Speer to create a memorable and immersive guest experience that culminates in a vibrant menu. From the partnership of the three was born Assembly.
